F47A (Additional condition): SPELLING MISTAKES AND TYPO ERRORS ON DOCS ARE ACCEPTABLE EXCEPT MISTAKES OR ERRORS ON DESCRIPTION OF GOODS, INVOICE AMOUNT AND UNIT PRICE. Presentation: + P/L and B/L showing: “Notify party: ABCD INVESTMENT CO-OPERATIVE CO., LTD AN LAC HAMLET, VAN LAM DIST., HUNG YEN PROVINCE” Questions: Is it discrepancy? Thanks and Best regards, LNL ——— ANSWER Hi, I think the P/L and the B/L should be acceptable based on the following reasons: 1) According to Field 47A, spelling mistakes and typo errors on documents are acceptable except mistakes or errors on description of goods, invoice amount and unit price. 2) According to ISBP 745 paragraph A23, a misspelling or typing error that does not affect the meaning of a word or the sentence in which it occurs does not make a document discrepant. The misspelling of the applicant’s name “ABCD INVESTMENT CO-OPERATIVE CO., LTD” instead of “ABCD INVESTMENT CO-OPERATION CO., LTD” in ‘notify party’ box is an obvious typing error that does not prevent the applicant from being notified of the arrival of the shipment (because the address is correct). Kind regards, Mr. Old Man
