Articles Lifestyle Mr Old Man WHY NOT WRITE A BOOK? By Mr Old Man Posted on January 23, 2025 2 min read 0 0 204 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Some of my friends asked me why I don’t write books on international payments and trade finance because they believe that with my practical experience, my books will be very good. Recently, I had dinner with Nesarul Hoque, a friend I have known for about 20 years. He is an ICC member who participated in drafting ISBP 821E, ICC Briefing, DOCDEX and has many articles in international journals on LC and has also published a number of books. He also advised me to write a few books. Regarding writing books, I also promised that when I retired and had free time, I would try, but I was wrong because now, after becoming a time billionaire for a few years, I still haven’t been able to start to write a book, partly because I don’t feel interested, partly because I don’t feel enough energy to sit down and write a book. So, I really admire people young and old who still publish books of several hundred pages. They are so talented and have so much energy. Now I understand the English proverb: “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today”.
