Dear Readers, I am happy to update some information about myself. I have been retired for four years after spending 30 years at Vietcombank, one of Vietnam’s leading banks. Throughout my career, I held various positions, from staff member to leadership roles, gaining extensive experience in international payments and trade finance. Since 2000, I have written hundreds of articles on international payments and trade finance, published in banking journals in Vietnam such as Banking Review, Financial Market & Monetary Review, and Vietcombank Bulletin. Additionally, I have shared more than 1,500 articles and Q&As on the same topics on my personal website (www.mroldman.net), WordPress blog, and Facebook. Since 2010, I have been contributing to Trade Services Update (LC Monitor) as a Country Editor, providing numerous articles and insights to the publication. I have also had the opportunity to be a speaker and presenter at various conferences, discussing issues and topics related to international payments and trade finance, engaging with professionals in the field. Beyond my professional work, I have been passionate about cycling. So, in addition to articles on letters of credit and trade finance, you may also find my stories about cycling journeys exploring the beautiful landscapes of my homeland—an experience that has given me many unforgettable memories.
