Chào các bạn followers,

Mr. Old Man không phải là KOL, và trang Facebook này cũng không nhằm mục đích kiếm tiền. Đây đơn giản là một góc nhỏ để chia sẻ – từ thanh toán quốc tế, tài trợ thương mại cho đến những câu chuyện đời thường. Tuy vậy, thú thật là Mr. Old Man vẫn mong có thêm followers, vì điều đó ít nhiều cho thấy những chia sẻ của mình có ích ở đâu đó, cho ai đó.

Vì thế, Mr. Old Man cũng để ý đến chuyện… lên xuống của con số followers. Thấy giảm thì hơi buồn, thấy tăng thì vui vui – rất đời thường

Đầu năm ngoái, Facebook của Mr. Old Man chạm mốc 5,3K followers. Đó là con số đáng mừng, bởi nội dung trên trang vốn khá khô khan và kén người đọc: phần lớn là các bài viết thuần chuyên môn về thanh toán quốc tế và tài trợ thương mại, lại chủ yếu bằng tiếng Anh; thỉnh thoảng mới có vài bài tiếng Việt về chuyện đời, chuyện xe cộ, chuyện linh tinh.

Mr. Old Man trân trọng cảm ơn các bạn followers đã quan tâm và kiên nhẫn ở lại đến bây giờ.

Tất nhiên, con số này cũng lúc lên lúc xuống, có thời điểm tụt về 5,2K. Nhưng may mắn thay, bước sang những ngày đầu năm 2026, lượng followers lại tăng trở lại mốc 5,3K. Nói không vui là… xạo nghe! Mr. Old Man vui lắm.

Ngẫm lại thì cũng dễ hiểu. Suốt năm 2025, Mr. Old Man chia sẻ khá nhiều bài chuyên môn khô khan, lại thiếu vắng những hình ảnh đẹp thời còn đạp xe lang thang khắp nơi, nên việc một số followers lặng lẽ rời đi là điều khó tránh. Nhưng cuối năm và đặc biệt là đầu năm 2026, khi Mr. Old Man chia sẻ thêm nhiều bài viết đời thường hơn – nhất là sau bài “Làm nhân viên ngân hàng có sướng không?” – thì các followers cũ quay lại, và có thêm không ít followers mới.

Vì vậy, từ nay, Mr. Old Man sẽ cố gắng mỗi tuần chia sẻ ít nhất một bài viết đời thường, xen kẽ với các bài viết và Q&A về thanh toán quốc tế và tài trợ thương mại, để trang bớt… khô cổ

MR. OLD MAN’S FACEBOOK IS BACK AT 5.3K FOLLOWERS

Dear followers,

I am not a KOL- Mr. Old Man, and this Facebook page is not meant for making money. It is simply a place to share—mostly thoughts on letters of credit, international payments and trade finance, and occasionally some everyday stories. Still, to be honest, I do hope to have more followers, because that, in some small way, means the sharing is useful to someone, somewhere.

So yes, I do notice the ups and downs of the follower count. A slight drop feels a bit sad; an increase brings a quiet smile. Very human, after all.

Early last year, this page reached 5.3K followers. That was a happy milestone, considering that the content here is rather dry and not exactly easy to digest: mostly technical posts on international trade finance, often in English, with only occasional Vietnamese posts about everyday life. I am truly grateful to those who have stayed, patiently, until now.

Of course, the number did not stay there. It went up and down, and at one point slipped to 5.2K. But happily, in the early days of 2026, the follower count has climbed back to 5.3K. Pretending not to be happy would be dishonest—I am genuinely delighted.

Looking back, it is easy to understand why. Most of the posts shared in 2025 were highly technical and rather dry, and they lacked the photos and stories from my old cycling days, when I was still riding and exploring different roads. Some followers quietly leaving was therefore inevitable. However, towards the end of the year—and especially at the start of 2026—I shared more everyday-life stories. After the post “Is Being a Bank Employee Really a Good Life?”, many followers returned, and new ones joined.

So from now on, I will try to share at least one everyday-life post each week, alongside the regular articles and Q&As on international payments and trade finance, to keep things a little less… dry.
