Lập An Lagoon, located in Lăng Cô Town, 40 km from Đà Nẵng and 70 km from Huế, has become a must-visit check-in spot in recent years. It attracts many travelers, especially young adventurers who love to explore. Travel magazines have described Lâp An Lagoon as the “treasure” of Lăng Cô, a poetic paradise in the dreamy land of Huế.

Due to its distance from the major cities of Huế and Đà Nẵng, Lập An Lagoon retains its hidden, untouched beauty, full of charm. No matter the time of day—sunrise, sunset, or a bright moonlit night—Lập An Lagoon looks like a breathtaking watercolor painting of nature, mesmerizing travelers with its serene beauty.

While there are designated photo spots near local restaurants, a more exciting way to experience the lagoon is by cycling along the scenic route that circles Lập An Lagoon. This path takes you through the villages of Hói Cạn, Hói Mít, and Hói Dừa, nestled at the foot of Bạch Mã Mountain. On a misty day, cycling along this peaceful road offers an incredible opportunity to take in the scenery, interact with local fishermen, and capture memorable photos.

It’s a pity that many cyclists from Đà Nẵng, after riding up Hải Vân Pass, often stop for a quick coffee in Lăng Cô before heading straight back without realizing that Lập An Lagoon offers a stunning cycling route worth exploring. Hopefully, after reading this, more cyclists from Đà Nẵng will be excited to take on this adventure.

For cyclists from Huế, a round trip of about 150 km to explore Lập An Lagoon may seem long, but it promises to be an unforgettable journey worth trying at least once.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

For those in Đà Nẵng who are new to cycling and not yet ready to conquer Hải Vân Pass, there’s an alternative way to explore Lập An Lagoon—by taking your bike through the Hải Vân Tunnel. The transport service costs 15,000 VND per trip, including 10,000 VND for the person and 5,000 VND for the bicycle.
