Everyone Has Once Been…

Everyone has once been something.
I have too — once this, once that.
But in the end, it all comes down to just once was.

There are many kinds of once was, stories to be told little by little.
Today, just a small one.

I was once a cyclist —
not better than anyone else,
but with a few things… no one quite like me.

For example, riding a bike while taking photos and writing along the way.
In terms of quantity, perhaps not many did more.

The photos were amateur.
The writing was spontaneous.

Most of it was simply for Facebook —
for fun,
and to avoid forgetting the places I had once passed through.

I’m sharing an old video now, just to remind myself that I once was…
a cyclist who rode to explore,
rode slowly,
rode often,
and rode with curiosity and feeling.
