A 'received for shipment' BL is presented showing : Place of Receipt: 'A' Precarriage: m/v 'X'Port of loading: 'A' i.e. same as the place of receiptVessel: m/v 'Y'Port of discharge: 'B' The on board notation added on the BL does not show any vessel's name. May we consider that the on board notation refers implicitely to the pre-carriage vessel X and in the affirmative how can you explain that loading and transshipment are effected at the same port A ?.RegardsAntoine Samaha —————— Duc N.H – Viet Nam Posted 13 Jun 11 | Hi, A Bill of Lading pre-printed “received for shipment” with place of receipt and/or an indication of a means of carriage requires a dated on board notation with name of the vessel that leaves the port of loading and the port of lading. Regards,Duc N.H —————— Gabriel – SingaporePosted 13 Jun 11 | The on board notation needs to indicate the vessel name and port of loading. Please refer to ICC's document No.470/1128rev final – 22 April 2010 for guidance. Gabriel
IS THE NOMINATED BANK REQUIRED TO VERIFY WHETHER THE BENEFICIARY HAS AUTHORIZED THE PRESENTING BANK TO PRESENT THE DOCUMENTS?
CAN THE ISUING BANK CITE “LATE PRESENTATION” AS A DISCREPANCY SOLELY BASED ON THE DATE OF THE COVER LETTER?
