HUMID SEALS

Roland Satchell – United States Posted 01 Jul 10 |

L/C terms: document to be signed bearing HUMID SEALS. Do we have a definition of what constitutes a humid seal.

Sorry, no. But I imagine one could make a few jokes about 'humid seals'.

In French: "timbre humide". I think it is what you call a chop (chop signature). See R 337

Hi,

I guess it is possibly a mistake in translation from local language to English. Perhaps it is intended to mean WET STAMP or INK STAMP/SEAL to differentiate from EMBOSSING STAMP/SEAL.

We, Vietnamese, call ink stamps “con dau uot”, which is literally translated into English as “wet stamp”.

Regards,
Duc N.H
