But me?I didn’t dare turn on the TV. I only followed the live text updates on VNExpress. It seems my superstition has now been upgraded —and this time, it actually worked. In the end, Alcaraz defeated the great Djokovic 2–6, 6–2, 6–3, 7–5 in the 2026 Australian Open final. To be honest, if Djokovic had won, I would still have been happy —there’s no reason to dislike a legend. But strangely enough…I really wanted Alcaraz to win. And so it happened: By beating Djokovic, Alcaraz won the Australian Open for the first time, completed the full set of four Grand Slam titles, and became the youngest player ever to do so in the Open Era. Congratulations to Alcaraz — a truly deserving champion, young yet already “old enough” to make history.
